Meghalaya Minerals & Mines Limited (MMML) was originally incorporated as a private limited company in March 2000. The status of the company has been changed to Public Limited in August 2006. It also becomes 100% subsidiary of BVCL on 31.03.2006. MMML is sole supplier of Lime Stone, the main raw material for producing cement for our company.
Meghalaya Minerals & Mines Limited has set up Limestone Crushing and galvanized plant at Lumshnong, Meghalaya for the crushing, segregation and homogenization of Lime Stone at Lumshnong, Distt. Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya. . The Project envisages to produce 4,80,000 MT of Crushed Lime Stone per annum by installing one 200 TPH Impact Crusher and other allied plant & machineries.
Presently BVCL is procuring its entire requirement of limestone from Mines held by Meghalaya Minerals & Mines Limited. The crushing unit at our company breaks and reduces the size of limestone boulder from 300 m/m to 75 m/m, and thereafter it is further reduced to 15 m/m through close circuit secondary crushing unit. Pieces above the size of 300 m/m are hand broken at Meghalaya Minerals & Mines Limited, which is costly and time consuming process. The proposed crushing unit at MMML will take care of this problem. Further, we are also expanding our capacity from 460 TPD to 750 TPD of cement and we will be requiring 800 TPD of crushed limestone. This unit we will be ensuring our future raw material requirement. This unit will enjoy several Central/State Government incentives and exemptions. |
